A word about Ecotourism

According to UNESCO the definition of sustainable tourism is: “Tourism that respects both local people and the traveller, cultural heritage and the environment." We strive to apply the principles of sustainable tourism here at La Bambouseraie in order the reduce the negative impact of tourism of the environment. According to The International Ecotourism Society the definition of Ecotourism is: "Responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people."

La Bambouseraie is a member of Cévennes Ecotourism

The association Cévennes Ecotourism unites 90 tourism professionals who by working together encourage and develop ongoing respect for the natural and cultural environment of the Cévennes.

La Bambouseraie  and The European Charter for Sustainable Tourism 

" The European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas is a practical management tool for ensuring that tourism contributes to a balanced economic, social and environmental development of protected areas in Europe" -Europarc Federation.

Anyone living within on The Cévennes National Park can take park in this initiative.
